Ofcom’s most recent Press Release has been picked up by Duncan Heaney at BroadbandChoices. Apparently 99% of all the premises in the UK are now covered by a 3G signal, with some 77% being able to get a signal from all 3G providers. Whoop! Well, no. Not really. Sadly, this is another example of how

4G – Rural Broadband Salvation

EE (Everything Everywhere) have announced that on the 30th October their 4G network goes live. Which is nice for those prepared for the pleasure of paying the monopoly style charges that the operator wants (together with nice lock in periods of 18mths+)  Naturally, the misinformed, under informed and MPs are hailing this as a great move

Ofcom would like us to issue another correction

Clayton Hirst at Ofcom is obviously interested in our Twitter comments, and sent this email today: Richard   I see that you’ve been making some comments about Ofcom’s pension scheme, giving the impression that we have a final salary pension scheme in operation. The reality is somewhat different:   At Ofcom’s inception (in 2003) we

The Truth about Broadband in the UK tomorrow
